The Power of Packages
PetExec stays busy keeping track of all your customer’s packages. We all love the convenience and savings of packages; with PetExec you can offer more than just the standard 30 daycare package. How about these as different options for packages:
- Discounted package rates for multiple dogs – i.e. 2 dog 30 visit packages at a lower rate to your multidog owners. You could set up packages for 2 or 3 dog rates or just a flat multidog rate – your choice.
- Discounted package rates for students, military, rescue dogs or other groups you choose. You don’t have to have a separate package for each group – just a name such as the Hero discount package or any name you like.
- Half day packages – If people customarily only bring their dog for 1/2 day, they can get a package deal too.
- One Day Free – instead of 30 day, put in 31 days - they get the last day free.

- Select Products and Services
- Select add Product or Service
- Name your Package (for your sanity make sure it is labeled clearly, i.e. 30 day multiple dog package, 30 1/2 day package, etc.)
- Under Service Type, select Daycare Packages from the drop down list.
- Under Price, put in the total price of the package
- Under Quantity, put in the number of days on the package – For instance a 30 day package would be 30.
- Under Number of Days Active, put in the number of days before the package expires. If you want to leave the expiration open, put in a large number like 999.
- If packages are taxable, make sure to check the taxable box

Set up a Dummy Customer to track walk-in Business
As you know, PetExec keeps track of all owner purchases neatly organized by customer. However you may have people who walk in and want to buy a product who are not regular customers. To keep track of your walk-in revenues, simply create a new customer and name them something like Walk-in Customer. Next, add a dummy pet to the customer. Each time you make a walkin sale, chose walkin Customer and you will have a way to keep track of those receipts and revenues.
Use Products and Services to add Coupons
Did you know that you can add a negative amount to your products and services? If you have a coupon, you can add the coupon to the products and services in a snap. Simply go to Products & Services> Add Product or Service> 1. Name the Coupon or discount 2. in the amount field put a negative amount ex. -20.00 3. Add Service. In the checkout or by adding to the cart, adding the coupon will subtract from the total.
